Would you eat a strawberry with a bird peck in it?

Just wondering, I bought my dd some organic strawberries, and most of them had big holes in where birds had got there first. I threw them away as I was concerned about the health of the bird (ie. bird flue risks)

Am I going OTT?

hi hills! I'd probably cut the pecked bits off and eat the rest if it looked ok!

you can get some rather horrible diseases from birds - eg campylobacter from birds pecking the tops of milk bottles. Not sure about strawberries though!
