Oven baked meatballs

Trying to think of exciting new things to do with beef mince! My 5 year old loves spaghetti bolognese and meatballs in tomato sauce, but want to try something different. Has anyone got a good recipe for meatballs, cooked in the oven, without any sauce?

I've found they can dry out in the oven without sauce. I find binding pork and beef mince together with an egg and breadcrumbs then frying gives a lovely meatball.

These are lovely though you do make a separate cream sauce. Baked meatballs are also nice in wraps with mayo and salad.

I do Annabelle karmel’s cocktail meatballs and do them in the oven for about 20/25 mins at 180c.

Mine don't dry out - I use lots of veg. Half and half beef and pork mince. Sausage meat (e.g. 250g of sausage to 1kg mince). Finely processed onion, carrot and celery, fried to get rid of the excess moisture. For 1kg mince I use about half a head of celery, six medium sized carrots and two onions. I process crackers into crumbs - 4 or 5 cream crackers. Add Worcestershire sauce. Bind with an egg.

There are lots of good recipes for meatballs in the hairy dieters books.

These are my favourites -

The last one can be made as burgers or meatballs.

There are sauces to go with them, which are all delicious, particularly the Swedish one. However, I usually make them without sauce and cook and freeze in portions. The sauces aren't absolutely necessary. I tend to do bought tzatziki with transylvanian meatballs and lamb burgers.
