Thousand island sauce

Basically I can never get it to 'stick' to the prawns . I've used a mixture of different quantities of mayo salad cream and tomato sauce but it always ends up sort of running off the prawns 😳 any ideas ?

Are your prawns a bit watery from having been defrosted?
I make mine with mayo, a sploosh of ketchup and a couple of shakes of Worcester sauce. Too much ketchup will make it too thin, do you use loads?

Yeah possibly wet prawns , I drained them but maybe I should use paper towel too👍 do I use 3:1 ration mayo to ketchup ish then ?

I use tomato puree instead of ketchup - just a little squirt (if you'll pardon the phrase) and the prawns need to be dried off a bit with kitchen paper.
