Why is Tropicana orange juice so yummy when it has the same ingredients as other juices?

There is no difference in the ingredients so why is other O.J. so horrible?
I'm slightly addicted.

I really don't like it as much as Minute Maid Orange juice....also the latter comes in plastic bottles which is better (for the environment) than tetra packs

I love Minute Maid; we save the bottles as water containers too.

Whoosh, you clearly have inside info...what's your view on Grove Fresh then? We like the fact that it seems to be a different juice at different times of the year, depending on what fruit they use...
Have always rated M & S Florida Orange as well

Tropicana is, after extensive blind taste tests on fussy DH, no better than Tesco own brand freshly-squeezed.
But all freshly-squeezed are better than long-life.

The tetrapacks bother me though - they're the only ones we get but it rankles every time.

Marina-Grove Fresh is fine but as you say,it varies greatly almost from week to week.This is becasue they do not have the same specification as private label juices and as a brand,can put any oranges (as long as organic as it is stated on pack)in that they feel like or can buy cheapest at the time.

I personally do like minute maid and if anyone is interested,the only people who do not pasteurise their "Freshly squeezed" juice are M&S and Waitrose

Oh and am with you Mrs.B-there are currently no tetra pak recycling units in the UK-for either chilled or ambient.

In certain countries they can mush it up into a product called tectan-not really sure what it could be used for as it looks pretty grim.
