Marinating chicken in cream and spices for hm tikka Masala?

Hi, I'm making a couple of curries for tonight and need to do a less spicy one for children. Would chicken breasts marinated in curry powder/garam Masala and double cream work if I want to bake them in the oven? Or would yoghurt be better (hopefully not as I don't have any!)

Tia

In theory yes but what works well with the yoghurt is the acidic element that helps to tenderise them - you could replicate that though by adding in some lemon juice

That makes sense. I have got a jar of jalfrezi paste so I'll maybe use that instead with some tomatoes to make a mildish sauce. Thank you.
