I find when I use paneer, somehow the cheese itself stays rather bland. So I don't know if the trick is to make it a little ahead of time, so that the flavours have time to sink in, or whether the cheese should be 'marinaded' somehow... hoping someone else can answer that! Last time I tried a paneer butter masala which I love when buying from a takeaway, but the paneer cheese itself let it down...

Cut into chunks, toss with oil, smallamount of salt and spices of your choosing. Fry until golden all over (you'll have to turn it). Also nice sliced and done on griddle.
