Leftover Chinese + Preg

12 replies

TTCI · 12/02/2018 10:08

I am 12 + 6 days preg and last night I had battered chicken, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and sweet and sour sauce. It was so yummy but I couldn't finish it, I didn't refrigerate it but wrapped it up and sat it on the counter. Can I eat it?

No I wouldn't, pregnant or not, if it wasn't put in the fridge. This is especially true of the rice

TTCI · 12/02/2018 10:23

Ok I'll just stick with the prawn crackers lol x

No bin it I wouldn't eat left over chinese food unpregnant.

NoParticularPattern · 12/02/2018 10:25

Oh god I’d be all over that. I’m 42 weeks now, but even at 12 (or not pregnant!) I’d be eating every last bit of it!!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 12/02/2018 10:29

I wouldn't chance it at all. Not worth the risk!

TTCI · 12/02/2018 10:29

@NoParticularPattern really even though I didn't refrigerate? X

@GreatDuckCookery could it harm my baby?

I'm REALLY relaxed about this kind of thing but nope I wouldn't even eat that when not pregnant. Especially the rice, it's almost a shortcut to food poisoning.

Really want Chinese food now though.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 12/02/2018 10:33

I just wouldn't take the chance of getting food poisoning OP. You probably would be ok but it's not worth being poorly for.

Tempting I know Grin love leftover takeaway.

TTCI · 12/02/2018 10:35

Ok :( feel so sad lol I was a vegetarian for a year before I fell pregnant and now I'm like a bin and all I ever want is pizza, Chinese food, KFC etc.

If it had been refrigerated, I'd have eaten it. But having left it on the side all night is an absolute no for me. This would be true for any meat dish, not just takeaway

TTCI · 12/02/2018 10:46

@Thingvellir kicking myself lol
