Which Nigella book for DS

So DS (7) loves Nigella and has asked for a book of hers for his 8th birthday. We already have domestic goddess which would be obvious choice, which of her other books would you recommend that has recipes that'd appeal to an 8yr old (and lots of pictures!). Local shop doesn't h e many to flick through and hard to tell on Amazon.

Either Kitchen or Feast - both have great photos and a wide range of recipes that cover lots of different cooking occasions. How to Eat is wonderful but mine doesn't have any photos - don't know if later versions have changed that?

For what it's worth I also LOVE her Christmas book, though recognise it isn't the right time of year for that. If you have a DC who likes Nigella though it would make a fab Xmas present, one that can be used for every Christmas from here on out.

Feast or Express- the latter for the simplified versions....

I would 2nd the Christmas book - my DD (11) has baked a few things from it & is absolutely lovely to flick through and plan what to make

I have 'Kitchen'...it's my favourite recipe book! I've made quite a lot of stuff from it.

Really want Kitchen myself so might get that and get the Christmas one later in the year - that's a really good idea as something that would start his own little traditions (and she is the queen of Christmas).

I have Express and make loads from it. The no bake cheesecake is utterly delicious, I get complimented on it all the time and it's super easy.

Feast is a great read and the one I turn to most often( I've also got Kitchen, Forever Summer, Express and Nutella bites)- snowflake brownies, turkey stir fry thingie, birthday cake, quadruple chocolate cake, cheesey feet biscuits- I'm sure I could think of more if I could be arsed to go and pick up the book from the other side of the room.

Express or Bites, lots of kid friendly, simple recipes. Feast is my fave but it’s more of a read, if you see what I mean.

Forever Summer is nice and easy to read, full of pictures and I second Nigella Bites. Recent Nigella books are much more simplified and geared towards fast cooking, having express indices and short ingredients lists.
