I made a sponge and forgot to add baking powder - so made it with plain flour effectively. It didn't rise (unsurprisingly) but it tasted okay.
It's in the freezer and I'm trying to work out what to do with it. I was thinking it might work in a trifle or tiramisu (except I put lemon zest in) or something similar. I hate to waste it. It was four eggs!
Any ideas clever baking types?
