Making bread and butter pudding with birds eye custard

I've run out of eggs and don't want to get any more. A bread and butter pudding would be the perfrct end to the soup supper we are having tonight.
I have a tub of birds eye custard powder in the cupboard. Can I mix that up, make it runny with milk and use that instead if usual egg/milk mix?

I can’t see any reason why not. Isn’t it just Bird’s custard?

Did it the other week and worked a treat! Add a bit more milk (or less custard powder) so it goes on slightly runnier than you would usually have it.

Birds eye? Are you making it with fish fingers?!😂😂

kateandme · 01/02/2018 20:53

yes its the only custard you ever need :)

Did you make it OP? I hope you enjoyed it. This is how I always make it to be honest.

I'm with kate. I prefer Bird's to "proper" custard.

I did it. It was far too custardy, though DH liked it.
