We are between kitchens. We have use of a microwave and a slow cooker.
All my favourite slow cooker recipes require frying off onions, garlic and so on.
I’m after any recipes where I can quite literally just chuck everything in the slow cooker and walk away.
TIA

I rarely fry off anything before chucking in the slow cooker. I rarely even brown meat first. The difference is so marginal. You'll be fine to carry on as normal.

Maybe something like Dahl?

Not sure if you hve a freezer but my favourite at the moment is chickpea and butternut squash curry.

Frozen bag of butternut squash
Tin of chickpeas
Tin of coconut milk
Jar tikka masala
Frozen onions.

Throw them all into slow cooker and cook.

Thank you
I do still have a freezer thankfully albeit in the garage Smile
The squash curry sounds fab.
I’m craving lentils just now if anyone has an easy slow cooker lentil throw in dish.

I did what bubblysqueak said, but with sweet potatoes and red lentils as well. It's lush.

And of course, soup.

Chickpea and lentil curry (but cooked in a slow cooker)

Frozen onions
Tin of chickpeas
Tin of tomatoes
Red lentils
Vegetable stock
Paprika
Curry powder or cayenne pepper.
And any random veg you have, particularly nice is brocolli and frozen spinach ( I like to use up all of the odds and ends in the freezer.)

If your happy using jars (so much easier when you don't have a kitchen)

Quorn Rogan josh is nice.
Quorn
Jar Rogan josh
Frozen butternut squash
Frozen onions
Chickpeas
Lentils

Another one who doesn’t fry stuff off. Chuck it all in, it’s fine!

Thanks very much one and all
