They are sick of sandwiches/rolls/wraps- can't say i blame them! I don't think they sit down at lunchtime- too busy playing football to be civilized! They won't take pasta/rice like they did at primary..it's not cool..
What should they eat?! Help! Any ideas much appreciated!

What do they want?

Seeline · 29/01/2018 09:26

Cold pizza
quiche
cold frittata
cheese and crackers

How old?

Could you give them a budget and get them to buy/make what they want?

Cut bagels vertically so you get lots of coin sized discs. Spray with garlic infused olive oil and bake in the oven until crunchy. I do the same with tortilla and pita bread. Makes them v easy to eat on the run, from a bag like you would crisps. Then give protein separately. Cheese cubes, chicken skewers, roasted chickpeas etc.

I make homemade pasties every week, you can make your own shortcrust or buy ready rolled puff (you can even buy frozen packets of squares of it so you just fill, seal and bake)

I do cheese and onion ones, or chicken korma, or meat and potato

Also make up pizza base mix and do cheese and tomato calzone

Then they have crisps/cheese/flapjack/fruit/tomatoes etc

Ooh, thanks all!
Like the sound of pasties! A bit different and easy to eat! Will give them a go!
Will try the bagel slices too!
