Does this ring any (meringue) bells?

When I was little, we made small meringues with chocolate chips in. I can’t recall if they had raisins in as well. But what I do remember was important was that we added vinegar to the mix. They were called ‘Pussies’ as if this was a well-known recipe. But for obvious reasons I’m not googling this one. Ring any bells?

I’ve heard of adding vinegar to meringue mix. Do you want a meringue recipe with vinegar n? I could find one for you. I guess you could add a few chocolate drops to mixture before piping onto trays. Meringue kisses come to mind as a name for them which is a bit nicer!

Thanks Sunflower, encouraged by your reports of vinegar in meringues I have googled ‘should I add V to my Ms’ and got some interesting info, although not all consistent. Some say it gives a chewier, less crisp, result. Maybe I’ll just have a go.
