Best bought Unicorn cake

I think a Unicorn cake would be just right for DD's 6th birthday party of abour 12 children.

I thought the style pictured looked possible as a home bake. Then realised that these come very similar ready made, and well I'm sure would be much more easy and convenient just to buy.

I note there is one in Asda and 1 in Marks and Spencer. The Asda one looks more appealing in the picture, and has generally good reviews. I am wondering whether to go for M and S on grounds of possibly tasting nicer? It also has layers of different coloured cake inside, it may be smaller. Unfortunately there are no reviews.

Anyone got any experience of these?

We had the M&S one for DD's 10th birthday last year. It was really lovely tasting and we really loved it. I haven't had the Asda one, but a big thumbs up for the M&S one from us!

OMG that looks just like the cake we had made for DD2! I picked a local cake maker (not a bakery). It was lush.
