I have a main bowl and then inside two smaller bowls. I haven't even opened the box yet so just going from what the box says

I have one but it's over 10 years old! Don't use it loads (got a kenwood chef too) but can try to answer questions

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 17/01/2018 19:33

I’ve got a 4200. Very good, weighs a tonne. 2 small bowls inside the big bowl.

RandomUsernameHere · 17/01/2018 19:39

Same here. It's great.

LynetteScavo · 17/01/2018 19:59

I have a cream one.

I only ever use the big bowl....have never used the small bowls. I wish it were bigger!

It's ace, but I wish it washed itself.

I most use it fir cakes, blending soup, kneading bread dough, grating cheese and whipping cream.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/01/2018 20:01

why do you wish it weee bigger lynette

Does everyone find the bowl small?

OP posts:
SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/01/2018 20:03

bigapple how does it compare to the Kenwood?

OP posts:
Wakeuptortoise · 17/01/2018 20:06

I rarely use it because it is a faff to clean. I make cakes in it generally. It makes super creamy mash potato and lovely grated cheese.
Anyone else find all the bowls get dirty when using the little bowl?

LynetteScavo · 17/01/2018 20:10

Maybe I think it's too small because I make a lot of soup and I can't blend enough soup for 5 people without it over flowing. It's big enough for everything else.

ScrunchyBook · 17/01/2018 20:15

I have a 4200xl. I very rarely use it because as tortoise says it's a faff to clean and if you want to use one of the smaller bowls they overflow and make the larger ones dirty.
If I could take it back and get my money back I would, and I'd buy a simpler one (probably Kenwood, I've seen some on Lakeland) with just one big bowl because I don't use the fancy features anyway.

Cheekyandfreaky · 17/01/2018 20:16

I have one and initially used it all the time, now less often but still probably weekly. I hate that you have to use all the bowls when just waiting to use one of the smaller ones, there shouldn’t be mess but there invariably always is. The grating and chopping attachments are great (but be careful both DH and I cut our fingers on them). The whisking attachment is also a favourite here. Mine is white and very easy to clean. It’s probably still one of my favourite appliances as it is so handy.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/01/2018 20:18

Is a Kenwood as well made / sturdy though? Hmm

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/01/2018 20:34

Anyone have the 5200?

OP posts:
StrawberrySquash · 08/04/2018 23:27

I use mine lots, but never use the small bowls. I didn't find the small bowl picked up small quantities at all well and, like others, all the bowls got dirty. The meringue bowl too is hopeless; you don't make meringue in plastic as it holds the grease.
But for grating, chopping, pureeing and pastry it's great.

orangeblosssom · 11/04/2018 01:36

I use mine for grating vegetables and cakes.
