Beetroot and Chocolate Cake

Bakers, who has the best recipe for this cake do you think? Jamie? Ideally I'd like to make it with gluten free flour. Thanks

The batter is a great colour. Changes once baked though.

I'm going to make the Tesco recipe one for the weekend, so will report back!

I steamed some fresh beetroot btw, I've not tried it with pre cooked. I'm not saying it's no good, just haven't tried it that's all.

I've made it and it was gorgeous!!

Did the tesco recipe, used doves farm gluten free flour, and it's so good. I made it last night, for today, as I'd read on the tesco comments below the recipe, that it's nice if you give time for the flavours to develop.

I used some ready steamed beetroot from M&S. Will definitely make it again.

Glad it turned out well. I agree about maturing it for a day or two
