Smug alert! What's for dinner? Smug alert!

My seven year old boy is just dishing up dinner for six.

It is pasta with puy lentil and tomato sauce, with a bit of wine. He has insisted on making it entirely on his own (apart from draining the pasta) and it smells great.

I forsee easy times ahead. I've been training them to cook for years off and on and it's finally begining to pay off.

What are your dinner arrangements?

Good for you Spidermama! DD cooks for us sometimes and it gives you a bit of a 'my job here is done' moment doesn't it! Bon Apetit!

Well done your boy!

Hmm, well I made all my boys (dh included) a delicious meal of fish fingers, oven chips and beans!! Ha ha!

I'm having spag bol from last night once I've got the younger two in bed. Ds1 and dh going to a football match.

I am very impressed, Spidermama!

I'm rather pleased with myself tongiht. Here at the Candelabrum I have served up a three course meal to the children for the first time in yonks. Home-made chicken soup with noodles, followed by chicken, veg (see a pattern here?) and dumplings. I slgithly fell down on teh pudding: fruit pots and chocolate teacakes.
