Lunch ideas 2 and 4yr old?!

Flippetyflip · 14/01/2018 11:55

I'm new to being a SAHM (was working FT now on mat leave expecting baby no.3) and I am really struggling for quick, healthy lunch ideas that my 2 and 4 yr old will eat.

Winners are pasta with sauce, they will eat deconstructed sandwiches, they love ham, will eat grated cheese, crackers etc. If I have frozen left overs such as spag bol, child friendly curries, chilli con carne, shepherds pie they will eat no probs. Looking for ideas of things I can whip up on the day. What do most people do for their kids?? Thanks!!

Hummus and pitta with crudités

Sandwiches

Beans on toast

Baked potatoes

Sounds like they are great eaters.
I think it is hard to beat scrambled egg or omelettes.

Home made goujons / burgers (make in batches and freeze)

Pizza made with small pitta bread etc

Toasted Bagels with cream cheese and sliced tomatoes.
Cous cous with chopped peppers, chopped cherry tomatoes and chopped cooked chicken
Tuna pasta
Fritata
Wraps with selection of filling
Half a jacket (or sweet potato) with beans and cheese, coleslaw, tuna etc
Soup and baguette

Sweetcorn fritters always went down well here. Have a look at my lovely little lunchbox she has some great recipes I’ve used

Grated cheese mixed with an egg and grilled on toast (or even better - in a toastie).
