Looking for some ideas for DD2's birthday cake design for the end of January.
I normally make the DCs' cakes based on their latest character obsession, and buy tableware/ decorations to match, but DD2 is only interested in her baby dolls and soft toy cats/ wearing anybody's shoes (and stashing them to play with later)/ making endless "cupTeaaaaa" for her latest victim/ filling play handbags with stolen items from DD1 & DSDs.
She's not interested in any TV characters which would make it easier for me- vaguely looks at Baby Jake and Teletubbies, but not to the point where she'd be excited to see a cake design of them.
I normally make fondant modelled figures for the cake, or just fondant detailing and little plastic figures for them to keep.
Does anyone have any ideas for maybe a baby dolly themed cake that doesn't look like a baby shower cake? I've searched for some little plastic baby dolls to create a scene with (and for her to rip off her cake and keep), but apart from "Twozies" with their animal helmets I can't find anything suitable.
