I have a huge amount of ham leftover from New Year. What on earth can I do with it all?

Freeze some for a meal later in the year?

We love turkey/chicken ham pie.

It's easy to make a raised pie, like a pork pie. Add a layer of onions, maybe cranberry sauce or Stilton.

Serve a big slab with egg and chips,

Pea and ham soup- we use frozen peas. Bright green, fresh and delicious.

Love ham, egg and chips but DH doesn’t like egg. Might do it anyway and he can have some other third thing.

Love the pie and soup ideas.

Ham omelette, ham sandwiches, or quiche. Freeze portions to thaw later.

Split pea and ham soup is yummy, but isn’t your ham a bit old now if it was from new year?

I threw most of it in the freezer when I realised how much we had left!

Chop it up into portion sized amounts and chuck it in the freezer until you feel inspired much much later in the year
