Easy but impressive cake decoration ideas

I did a rainbow smartie decorated cake last year which was very popular. Looking for some cakes which are just as easy to decorate but look good. Any ideas?

The making of the pigs/cats is simple. They're only made up of balls...you just make the ears and so on...to add on.
