Bitter soup- can I save it?

Big pan of veg soup, just tested it. There's a distinct bitter aftertaste... I think possibly from the courgettes? Any one know any tips to rescue it.
I will eat it anyway but I don't think the rest of the family will!

You need to introduce sweetness, what other veggies are in the soup?

Would a teaspoon of sugar or honey help?

WobbleMyWorld · 03/01/2018 12:40

Onion, carrot, celery, leeks, courgette and the broccoli stalk

Sweetcorn or sugar

PaperdollCartoon · 03/01/2018 12:51

Sweetcorn or a bit of honey/maple syrup could certainly help

WobbleMyWorld · 03/01/2018 12:51

I've added sugar and then honey. Simmered again and left 5 mins. It's still there! 😫
