egg and nut free cake

As the title says really. Does anyone have a recipe for a nice cake without eggs or nuts. My DB, DSIL and Dneices are visiting from Australia. DN8 has severe egg and nut allergies and has gone without a lot of Xmas/NY 'treats' that her sister and my DC have ate in abundance. I just thought it would be nice to make her something that she can actually eat! TIA.

I've made the chocolate cake on this page - it's free from dairy, egg and nuts and is very easy to make (and delicious). I use Betty Crocker frosting for the same reason.

orgran egg replacer is excellent. mix 2 teaspoons with a tablespoon of water. til frothy and use in place of egg in any recipe.

I've always found cakes made with egg replacer to be quite crumbly. also it's an expensive way of making one cake.

I use a recipe very similar to the crazy cake recipe fingermoose linked to and betty crocker choc fudge icing.

Quick update, one of my DR'S came down with a bug, this has meant time off school and not wanting to leave mu side, so I have bought an egg less cake from a shop called 'cake box', they specialise in egg free cakes. They also sell cakes by the slice. I bought a slice and whilst the icing is quite sweet and synthetic tasting, the sponge is very light and not too bad. Thanks for all suggestions

There is a recipe on here somewhere for eggfree banana muffins. They are very good
