Cheap meal ideas please. I need to get through the next three weeks on very little money!

I am sure I am not alone but we are officially struggling and need to cut back especially with food costs.

We have got into the habit of waring meat most days so that needs to change.
And we eat a lot of salad and sweet potatoes which I don't think are great value for money.

Does anyone know of a good website or just have some good recipes ?

I am a pretty capable Cook and don't mind a bit of faff .

I do a really old school egg curry - very 70s - soften lots of onion for a long time then curry powder and garam masala, chopped tomatoes and puree, simmer as long as you can , hardboil two eggs per person, peel and pour over the sauce on a rice bed, chuck in a handful of frozen peas just before the end.

Cheaper meat / fish I've found that the kids love and it lasts longer are baked chicken drumsticks, smoked mackerel and pork loin.
I love Dahl and baked potatoes for cheap meals. Pasta veggies and various sauces.

Liver with onion gravy, potatoes and any green veg. I made this last night, 1 pack of lambs liver (enough for 3 adults) cost £1.10 in Asda! I know liver is not to everybodies taste, but it is so cheap, is very nutritious and not high in calories; the gravy is to die for.
