Grated chocolate in pineapple cake

Hi,
One client is asking a pineapple cake with vanilla sponge and whipped cream.but she wants grated dark chocolate inside the slices of cake along with pineapple peices.
Is it a good combination?? pineapple and dark chocolate...please advice...
Because she is asking me whether it will be tasty or not...
So please advice...i really dont have idea...

i do chocolate chips in banana cake but grated chocolate will just come out as a brown-ish mush. no specific taste or texture so probably not a good idea.

Ohh thank you for your information..so should i add choco chips instead of grated chocolate ??will choco chips go well with pineapple???
