Defrosted lobster

I defrosted a lobster in the fridge yesterday lunchtime ready for dinner, but our plans changed and we didn't eat it. It's still in the fridge - will it be good to eat this evening?

The pack says to eat on the day it's defrosted. Would anyone else think that a day is 24 hours so it should still be okay now? Surely 'eat on the day' of defrost is dependent on the time of day it defrosted?

Would you eat it?

yeah, that'll be fine.

Iffy smells and the like notwithstanding!

Thanks! I am someone that will eat food a day or two after sell/use by, but was cautious with it being lobster.
