I'm probably your worst to ask as I'm a purist and actually love veg on its own.plate of boiled carrots any day yum!
haha but we have different taste in the family so we have done in the past.
parsley and butter carrots
burssel sprouts sautéed with bacon
carrot and sweded mash
make a gratin of cauliflower and potato
cauliflower cheese
sautéed broil and garlic
garlic and spring onion green beans.
raosted sweet potato beetroot and carrot and red onion
cauliflower rice
roasted cabbage steaks.
roast carrots in honey and ornage glaze
cauliflower cheese.
sweet potato and potato stacks.
courgette leeks and onions in a cheese and garlic white sauce
leeks and asparagus cooked in stock

I'm always thrilled by a sprout :) I realise many people aren't, but I love them slightly overcooked, daubed with butter and sprinkled with white pepper - bliss!

The most exciting side this year will be my potato, black pudding and apple stuffing for the goose - again, probably not to everyone's taste, but those who will be eating it (ie, my Dad and me) will enjoy it.

Tried red cabbage last year, á la Delia - and hated it, so not going there again.

Savoy cabbage fried in butter and oil with a lot of garlic and crispy bacon Grin
