Did anyone's mum used to make minced beef hash?

My mum used to, and I remember it being bloody yummy! She even used to mince the beef herself. Sadly, she's been gone many years now and I never got the recipe off her. Wondered if anyone knows what I'm talking about and if they might have a recipe for it? Talking the 70s here, so may not be many of you who remember it!

I remember corned beef hash.

Corned beef from a tin - bleurgh!

If you look up recipes for "stovies" which are a Scottish thing, I'm pretty certain that's what you are describing. Leftover meat and potato dish.

Thanks! I’m sure it had breadcrumbs in, but was such a long time ago I can’t remember much more about it...

We do a version with minced beef, fried egg on top, and mustard ketchup. I'd love a decent recipe too though.
