Good quality pork sausages, skinned.
Fry and break up until nice and brown and crumbly.
Chopped onions, also browned.
Tin of chopped tomatoes.
2 teaspoon fennel seeds
Glug of wine, teaspoon of honey. Salt pepper
Simmer 30 minutes.
Stir through cooked pasta.

My go-to favourites

Tuna pasta (tuna, pasta, mayo, self explanatory but one of my all time favourites)

—-

Pasta
Onions
Peppers
Chicken
Single cream
Parsley
Tomato pasta bake sauce

Cook onions and peppers and chicken, chuck the sauce in, simmer it for about 10 mins on medium heat, chuck the cream in (just a dash will do) and the parsley, leave for another 10 mins. Add pasta. Tastes amazing!

When craving comfort food, I always opt for pasta, tin of chopped tomatoes, tin of tuna. Put some cheese on top.

Blondie1984 · 19/12/2017 00:26

Sometimes all i want it a bowl of pasta covered in melted butter - just divine

Another favourite is leftover roast chicken warmed in a pan in a little olive oil, then i add a chopped skinned tomato and let that soften a bit before stirring in some some double cream and then mixing with pasta (i normally do penne)

mintmagnummm · 19/12/2017 06:36

Fry an onion in some oil, add some chopped up smoked bacon and fry until cooked, add a tin of tomatoes and a tin of tuna and cook through. Add this to some cooked pasta in saucepan, mix up and add a good squeeze of ketchup and mix again. It's bloody lovely

mintmagnummm · 19/12/2017 06:36

Bacon had to be smoked though!

speakout · 19/12/2017 06:37

Tagliatelle with a chicken, tomato and cream sauce.

FiaMarrow · 19/12/2017 06:43

Nigella's "spaghetti spice" - dried parsley, garlic, sea salt, chilli flakes.

Or a knob of butter, generous bit of black pepper and a handful of grated cheese. Yum.

TobleroneBoo · 19/12/2017 06:46

Chop up mushrooms and bacon , fry off

Boil spaghetti, once cooked add to above

Add cream and cook off

Season

Mix some garlic yoghurt into the pasta. Top with a basic tomato sauce made by frying a pepper, tomato and some tomato paste with a little water.

Joskar · 19/12/2017 06:57

Puttanesca

Olive oil in a warm pan + a clove of garlic roughly crushed on the flat of a knife + four or five anchovies chopped. Let them melt away. Good shake of chilli flakes. Half a tin of tomatoes. Roughly chopped tablespoon of capers + a palmful of halved black olives. Check seasoning. Cook for the same time the pasta does. Basil on top if you have it.

Ginmakesitallok · 19/12/2017 06:57

Cut courgettes into long batons, fry off in some butter, salt, pepper and good handful of parmesan. Toss through linguine. Delicious.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 19/12/2017 07:01

Just chilli, garlic and olive oil.

Otherwise.
Fry Bacon until crispy with garlic bit of chilli and rosemary. Add tomatoes and cook until saucey

confusedandemployed · 19/12/2017 07:02

My go to carb craving: pasta tossed in olive oil and covered in grated mature cheddar. Under the grill to melt / brown the cheese. Gorgeous.

Another goodie: shallots, peppers, lightly fried then add cooked chicken and bacon. Stir in cooked pasta and some cream cheese, preferably one with garlic. Nice.

Glitterspy · 19/12/2017 07:04

Boil some linguine.Fry chopped onion in good olive oil over a medium heat. Add crushed garlic when it starts to look cooked. Add a tbsp of harissa paste and stir, then a can of chopped tomatoes and a pinch of mixed herbs, salt and pepper. Leave to cook while the pasta finishes cooking. Add a splash of pasta water if it starts to look dry. To finish add king prawns and cook for a couple of minutes, then stir in a good heaped dessert spoon of creme fraiche. YUM

Toomanycats99 · 19/12/2017 07:06

Fry a little finely chopped onion, add some smoked salmon. Then cream lemon juice and black pepper. Lovely!

newdaylight · 19/12/2017 07:10

Chop broccoli in to small florets and chop up the stalk.
Put stalk, red chilli, garlic and 8 anchovy fillets in pan with tbsp butter (large saucepan or hob proof casserole dish). Medium low, lid on.
Cook pasta. Add florets 4 mins from end.
Put pasta into the other dish and mix through, adding another tbsp butter, some grated cheese, and a bit of the cooking water to loosen.
Done

Green Pasta, or, if you're a six-year-old girl, HULK PARCELS

You need ravioli, a jar of basil pesto, cream and parmesan.

Do the ravioli however it says

In a frying pan, put the pesto and cook it a little bit. Then slowly pour in Some Cream, stirring it so it's combined. Do this until you have enough sauce of your preferred colour and a little runnier than your desired consistency. Dump a handful of parmesan on top, stir it through, probably add some more cream and maybe some pepper.

There. Hulk parcels.

Cook bacon until it’s really crispy. Finely chop red onion, garlic and chilli and fry gently. Add tin of chopped tomatoes a good glug of balsamic and some dried oregano and allow to cook down a bit. Add cooked pasta with the chopped crispy bacon and combine. Serve with grated cheese and ciabatta

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 19/12/2017 16:35

LOVE Hulk parcels!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 19/12/2017 17:38

And if all else fails Nigellas marmite pasta!

reynoldsnumber · 19/12/2017 17:41

Fry some chopped onion in butter. Add cooked peas, chopped up smoked salmon, cream or cream cheese, and fresh mint and/or basil and mix for about 1 minute. Then add to pasta.

TheDowagerCuntess · 19/12/2017 17:41

Fry chopped up garlic and chilli (deseeded for kids) combined with chopped up bevel salami in lashings of olive oil.

Cook and drain spaghetti, add to frying pan and stir it altogether well.

Put in bowls and cover in Parmesan and black pepper.

mumonashoestring · 19/12/2017 17:41

Cook some fusilli and set it aside. Soften an onion, add some chopped bacon and fry til cooked, then put in a couple of handfuls of frozen peas. Add the fusilli back in, heat through, tip in a good glug of dark soy sauce and stir everything together. Even better if you top it with a handful of grated cheddar.

Lndnmummy · 19/12/2017 18:26

These are amazing! I can’t wait to try them all. I would much rather have pasta than turkey for christmas
