Leftover veg

Can I freeze it?

There’s three adults and a relatively hungry toddler for Christmas dinner but not sure about the quantities ...

We’re off to visit others on Boxing Day and won’t be back for three or four days. Leftover turkey will be frozen no problem - but with the veg am I going to have to chuck it?

Mix it all together, mash it up a bit and make bubble and squeak.

I'd blend it with some stock and freeze as a soup.

Yes, you can freeze it.

Yep, it'll freeze fine. Best to freeze in portions unless you intend to use it all at once. If you freeze roast veg on a treat so they are not touching, then tip into a freezer bag, you'll be able to just defrost a many as you need, rather than all at once.

Thanks everyone - I think I’ll do the portions thing

Best to reheat in oven or micro? Either? Or boiling water like “normal” frozen veg (I.e frozen by someone other than me)
