I've been soaking my fruits in whisky and have some of the murky yet delicious thick sweet spirit left in the jar it stood in .... can I use this to feed the cake or do I have to use fresh whisky ? SmileGrin

I am sure that you could use it for feeding the cake, but it will be more dilute than neat spirit, so won't have the same preserving qualities. Why not drink it?

Yes that's what I was worried about .. I'm sure it will all be eaten quickly but you never know...drink it you say? Wow yes I'm sure I could knock up a neat little cocktail on Saturday night with it Wink

I think that is what you could call "Christmas Spirit".
