Am I too late to bake a Christmas Cake?

Hi

Recently I have really taken to baking and have been proud of the baking I have achieved and genuinely enjoy baking etc.

I want to make my first Christmas cake this year although looking up some recipes and ideas on the internet seems you have to leave the fruit to "mature" and it's best made 2 months in advance.

So am I too late to be baking one now? I'm looking to make a start on it over the weekend.

Have look on Delia's website...I am sure she has a last minute one on there.

Try the mincemeat one, it's lovely.
You just add several jars of the good ones to a cakemix.
