Soup as stew base?

Have a family member in hospital so not getting home until 9pm, it's been sudden so haven't been able to plan or put slow cooker things on so I'm thinking creatively.

What you think about using a chorizo and butter bean soup as a stew base - possible adding chopped onions, tomatoes and maybe more butter beans then frozen white fish and frozen mash? The frozen stuff will be 5 mins in the microwave.

I know Americans are fond of using tins of soup as casserole bases!

I do it often especially in the slow cooker or pressure cooker.

I'd serve it with the mas dolloped into it like dumplings.

Thank you! Will give it a go 👍🏽 seems a quick and nutritious solution. Looking forward to it
