So last night (I was out) DD and a couple of friends decided to make a gingerbread house, she's perfectly able to make cakes and biscuits so I thought she'd be ok.
I forgot gingerbread is a different technique and they managed to stuff it up completely. They thought it was too greasy and crumbly so added more flour then left it to cool!
The upshot is a huge bowl of very sandy mix, it's a bit like biscuit crumbs or shortbread before it comes together.
I am loath to throw it away as it's such a waste but I don't think it's salvageable as gingerbread.
Any ideas what it could be used for? All I can come up with is making truffles with chocolate and condensed milk but no one needs that many truffles (even at Christmas).
Any other ideas?
