Straw poll of Ocado customers...

We've been blown out by Ocado tonight because of "warehouse problems".
Now, I know lots of us use them so I'd be really grateful to hear from anyone in London and Kent if they too have been rung today and told, no shopping .
We've been rescheduled tomorrow but it's fridge scrapings for us tonight and no wine .
I'd also be interested to hear from people (eg MI) whose delivery has been unaffected.
(Marina's paranoia about the insignificance of her postcode reaches epic proportions, it must be starvation).
TIA. You may be able to help me wangle double vouchers

This happened to me once and they brought the order the next day and gave me a £20 credit.

Marina · 20/04/2007 18:13

This is the second time in four months .
They were frightfully naice and apologetic etc but you can't scoff a £20 voucher and they rang about ten mins before I was due to haul the dcs off from school for errands we really could not put off, and which did not take us past food stores.
LOL at delivering it to you Fio, they can probably hurl it from their depot and avoid having to drive down your mean streets.
I am sure we are only on the map because we are handily situated on a well known rat-run on to the A20!

My sister had to cancel her order at christmas because loads of basic items were out of stock - cat food, loo roll etc. She kicked up a fuss, and got a personal letter from the head of Ocado and £120 credit (the average delivery spend apparently) So definately worth complaining

Bump for the evening crowd, assuming you are not all too busy unpacking your hand-moulded mozzarella di bufala etc

At least they've rescheduled you for tomorrow. Sainsbury's once blew me out an hour before my delivery was due due to staff shortage, and kindly offered to deliver 4 days later instead.

Haven't used them since.

Have never had a problem Marina - and as you know I am only about a mile away from you!

Would you like me to pop past with a bottle of vino?

Marina · 20/04/2007 20:33

Soapbox that is extremely kind but after scrabbling around on top of the larder I managed to locate a bottle, so all is not lost. Thank you so much for the offer though
In a funny sort of way that is good to hear Darrell - that the problem is real and widespread. hope your shopping turns up OK.

Cantsleep, we've used Sainsburys twice and on both occasions something similar happened (we paid twice for the non-existent inaugural shop too )
It's just so unlike Ocado!

have just got it, we were down for the 5-6pm slot and it arrived at 730pm and the poor driver looked like he was having an awful time.
At least you don't have to wait up tonight for the delivery to come, and i hope your fridge scrapings weren't too sparse.
