Jamie Olivers Comfort Food

I'm currently trying to work my way through JOs comfort food book cooking the recipes I fancy. I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for stuff that's worth the 3 hours slaving in the kitchen, and what can safely be missed. So far I have tried

  • next level steak sandwich (pretty good)
  • Vegetable lasagne (de fricking licious)
  • Chicken and mushroom pie (alright but def not worth the work)
  • chicken tikka massale (delicious)

What have been the hits and misses in your household?

Bloody Mary Beef is yummy!! Shepherds pie was a faff but did taste good- we've since borrowed the mash-lined pie dish idea for less time-consuming/messy mince /slow-cooked-lamb-casserole filling. Burger also a tasty BBQ addition!

I get confused with the amount of JO books but I think that’s the one with the winter chilli? I love that dish!

It’s such a ridiculous book!!! Everything takes too long.

Not sure which book this is from but if you are into curries I would recommend this fish curry:

I made it a few times now and the family loved it.

Yes Taffeta I agree but sometimes its worth it! Veg lasagne for example.

That fish curry is from Save with Jamie. It's absolutely delicious.
I also really like his veggie chilli.
