Best thing I've ever eaten

Sorry for the click bait title, but it's true. So I slow cooked a shoulder of pork for 12 hours with some onion; didn't fancy pulled pork the next day. Took the pork out and mixed the juice with a rich beef stock gel thingy or two and a shake of bisto best Blush stirred it in with the shredded pork and gave it another hour or two.

It was the most tasty, meaty thing I've honesty eaten (and I have eaten at some lovely restaurants). When I put the leftovers in the fridge, the next day pretty much everything was bright white with fat 🤢 but it was worth it!

I want to do it for my 2nd meat on Christmas Day. But I'm scared it won't turn out the same. It sounds so simple and unappetising! And I don't want to do it again as I'm on a diet and it's soooo fatty (all bets are off Christmas Day). Does it sound to you experts that if I do the same thing again it'll be just as unbelievably tasty? And will others find it as tasty? Or shall I just stick with my usual turkey and lamb?

Oh and if you wanna list the best thing you've ever eaten, so I didn't completely defraud you with the title, please do. Grin

Do it before Christmas so you'll know if it was just that particular cut that did it.

Like...next weekend. Then if it's as good, you can do it for Christmas.

Trial it again and if it’s perfect freeze it? Not sure if it’ll work but even if it doesn’t come out exactly the same if you decide to cook on the day it’ll still be good? Good luck!
