Help me - what shall I do with this piece of beef?

I was shopping this morning and I saw this piece of beef - no idea what to do with it but I was salivating at the thought of eating it and made an impulse purchase.

It’s about 3cm thick.

Any ideas for me? I love baking and general recipes but meat is always a hit or miss with me.

And any French recipes or methods might be good too Grin

Well, according to the label, you can cut it and fondue it or roast it. It is nicely marbled, so a quick sear and roast with a good rest would work.

I'd be chopping up fresh ginger and garlic and marinade that baby in soy sauce, lime juice the ginger and the garlic. I'd slice the beef finely and flash fry it with the marinade and fresh scallions.

Slice thinly and make beef stroganoff with it. Wine Wine

It is a very tender and low fat piece of meat. Plus "charolais" is a very good quality type of meat (or more exactly cow). I say quick sear and roast too.

What @TheVanguardSix said! That sounds delicious.

If you got it from Leclerc in france there should be a number of asterics (*) on the label ? The number of little stars corresponds to how best to cook it let me have a google because I don't think it's frying steak at that price ( that said I'm in central Paris and depend on over priced yet lovely butchers)

Actually seeing the time, you've probably eaten !

Thank you for all the ideas. Actually I’ve put it in the freezer for now.

I’m looking at beef encroute recipes after having a quick google.
