Would love some type EASY receipe for this as my dd is allergic to lots of things. Anyone have a receipe I can use. Dont want to buy any type of sausage meat but would like some sort of meat mix i can make myself. She has a nut allergy, cant eat any maize/corn- flours or deriatives, or any spices linked to peppers eg parprika or cayenne pepper. other allergies also but prob not relivant to this thread. Can any one help?????

What about just mincing some pork, mixing with the seasoning she can eat and wrapping it in pastry. Grated apple might be nice (this is also good with minced chicken).

oh crikey chloesmum - you still struggling on?

you do a fantastic job, would agree with LizP - minced chicken or turkey might be good, can your dd 'do' any wheat?

I make them out of plain pork mince, add nutmeg, parsley (and paprika, but you could leave it out!) and then wrap in pastry.
You can make a basic pastry with 2 measures gluten free flour/rice flour (if she can have that?) and 1 measure butter.

Would work with any meat I suppose, it takes about 10 minutes.

is maize another word for wheat/ If not, you could use a slice of bread instead of pastry, it's very nice, actually! use pork mince and grated onion/apple for the filling

Hi everyone, thanks liz p was wondering if that would work, thank you all for all your comments. yes Lucycat,Im still struggling on lol!! She is ok with wheat, I cringe to say it just incase I am tempting fate. Maize is just Corn derived products. Eg corn flour, corn starches, thickeners- in anything even glucose or anti caking agents, in icingsugars caramel ect. In most things one way or anouther, just being told to avoid it as best I can. Its not a life threatening allergy. Now you have all given me the incentive I will have to get into gear and try it soon! No excuses now

If she can have flour, and you are feeling ultra lazy (like me!) then maybe a pack of ready made puff pastry would work? I don't know what else is in it though...but it makes it really easy!
