Can I leave creme brulees overnight?

Friends coming round on Friday, I would like to do as much as I can on Thursday. Can I make creme brulee, fridge them and then do the sugar and blowtorch on Friday?

Am sure you can, it's just cold custard. I would, anyway!

That's how I do them with no problems. I always thought you were supposed to make them ahead so they were thoroughly chilled before being blasted by a blowtorch!
