Recommendation for good non fancy cake cook book?

So normally when I bake cakes I will just Google a random recipe. I would love to have a go to book with lots of yummy cake recipes. Nothing majorly fancy just good old fashioned cakes! Any recommendations?

Good Housekeeping Baking Bible is really reliable, and has lots of "standard" recipes IYSWIM.

Out of print but there are loads on eBay.

I've got a few, the most used one is Nigella lawson's "How to be a domestic goddess " terrible title, great book!

Cakes by Liz Herbert. It’s a WI book and all the recipes work well. I have quite a few cake books but always go back to this one for good old fashioned cake recipes.

I’ve always succeeded with all of the nigella cake recipes I do.

Old Mary Berry books are good.

Delia's Cakes by Delia Smith

Domestic Goddess is rubbish IMO - hit and miss as to whether things work. My preferred book is Mary Berry's Ultimate Baking Bible. Foolproof.
