Hello, I’m an inexperienced baker needjngvsine help please!

I’m using a silicon cake mould where the shape means some parts are longer and thinner. By the time the main part of the cake is cooked, the other parts are getting over cooked - is there anything I can do to prevent this?

cover with foil of greaseproof to the overcooking bits.
do you mean a square one has some bits dipper because if you start it cooking with a slight dip in the middle it wil leaven out to flatter and often avoids that dom in the middle.
