Question about freezing homemade pizza dough?

Is it best to freeze homemade pizza dough in balls or can we freeze it already rolled out?

We just deforested some rolled out dough and baked and it was surprisingly fine!

Okay thanks. We'll give it a try then soon :)

You can do either. If you freeze the balls, then just put them in the fridge in the morning and they'll be defrosted and ready to roll out by the evening.

Or freeze rolled out and just top and bake.

We freeze it in balls and then defrost before rolling 😊

I freeze them in balls, in individual freezer bags.

Anyone care to share the pizza dough recipe?

I freeze the balls too.

Callmecordelia · 17/10/2017 06:38

I'd be interested in a recipe too.

I use the Jaime Oliver one that's online.

I also use the Jamie Oliver pizza dough recipe (the basic one). Makes enough for about five or six pizza bases in my experience.

I used that one at the weekend, probably the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!! I only used the base recipe and used my own topping. Delicious 😋

I make pizza dough in a breadmaker, so much less faff than doing it yourself, I divide it into little balls and freeze for Dc lunch/dinners.
