So I've got a heavy cold and am hoping a good curry might help it on its way. Can anyone recommend a nice, spicy curry but not so hot it's unenjoyable. Any other cold remedies welcome too :/Blush

Thai Green curry: sufficiently aromatic that you can taste it even with a cold. Get well!

My favourite is Nihari, it's used as a cold remedy in South Asia and it's delicious! Not all take aways sell it and it is pretty spicy, but it is good!

Jalfrezi - should be nice and spicy and every takeaway makes it

Chicken pili pili

I love a king prawn bhuna Or a lamb biriyani.

Get a saag bhaji on the side, spiced spinach, goes with everything and gets some vitamins in there. Also, yum.

Lamb madras. A nice warmth without being hot.

Prawn dansak - very flavoursome and tasty. Not too hot, and the lentils in it give a lovely textured sauce.

Nihari or Jalfrezi. Spicy enough to 'clear you out' but still very tasty!

RubyGoat · 07/10/2017 17:18

I love a good dansak (go for chicken personally but prawn would also be excellent). Lemon rice to go with it, or a garlic naan.

I'm low carbing. This thread is so cruel... Grin

They didn't have nihari so I got a jalfrezi and will work through the list, I promise. Grin. I got garlic naan and saag bhaji too .

Lamb madras. Saag paneer. Keema naan.
