Just wondering if anyone has used a website that gives great product at a better price than the supermarket.

We use quite a bit!

Sorry, no advice. I'm here to see what answers you get Blush

Have you looked in Aldi/Lidl? Nuts are much cheaper in there.

mayhew · 01/10/2017 09:59

I find Lidl is competitive. Freshness can be an issue with unknown bulk suppliers because nuts stored too long go rancid.

tattychicken · 01/10/2017 09:59

Yes Lidl. You can buy them loose and they are so much cheaper.

The Grape Tree is quite good, it has a website but we only use the store. Not sure how they compare.

We're a mixed Asian/Europeean family. So I buy mine at the middle eastern shops. If you have any rear you I would try there first. They sell them by the kilo or in bags. But much cheaper prices then supermarkets.

If you or anyone you know are members of Costco, we like their 'Extra Fancy' mixed nut selection Grin.

aldi
or if you really mean it the local indian supermakrets.we went the other day to ours in next town and the price diffences were astonishing.
go on to my supermarket and type in.see the difference and whether any have offers.
plus in supermarket awlays go down the foreign food isle.they don't mention these places and sneakily put them there oads cheaper because they are so called packaged as foreign branded

Indian/Sri Lankan shops. They usually sell Natco/East End brand nuts much cheaper than anywhere else. Also, wait for the sale at Tesco. They usually do a big sale on nuts and spices around Id/Diwali (not sure which one).

Tesco generally - check carefully £/kg. About £12/kg is often as cheap as you can find for 'nice' mixed nuts (rather than ones 99% peanuts).

thanks. I think i'll have a look at some of the little shops suggested!
