I have bought a camembert cheese, usual scenario; wrapped in plastic, in a wicker/woodenish box. I would like to bake it a la delicious restaurant, but how? Do i remove all layers of wrap? Remove plastic and bake in the other bit? Temperature? How long? Help! Thank you.

Is it a baking Camembert? I find mine always just separate. Take off packet put garlic and rosemary after you have cut the top off. Line box with tin foil and bake 180 for 15 mins it looks liquid.

This bit always confuses me too. I think you can cook in the wooden thing but I usually take it out and put it in a little ramekin thing we have.

Sorry, I'm not much help. Good luck, it's so tasty.

Whack oven on to 200 C. Take cheese out of plasticky wrap, stick back in box. make a few little slashes in top rind and stick in some slices of of garlic and sprigs of thyme if you have any (but doesn't matter if you don't). Put lid back on and out in oven for about 10 mins or until the cheese is liquid under the rind. Chop off top and away you go!

I take the plastic bit out and re-wrap it in the paper and box. Bake at 180C for around 20-25 mins.

Right, thanks all, it's in the oven with garlic and rosemary. Fingers crossed Wink

In my experience when you think it's done give it a bit longer.
