What do you make apple pies in?

DD is experimenting. She wants a pastry base and top - used a Pyrex dish today but it was fiddly as she didn't want it as deep as the dish.
What's the best dish or tin to use?

A pie dish?

Enamel dish? Or a china pie dish? Or any of the metal tins of the type you could make a quiche in?

I always just use a plate.

I use those disposable foil tins, pound land sell them in packs.
