Preferably without stupidly expensive fancy ingredients.

I'm getting back into baking and would love some new ideas to try out

TIA

The best carrot cake ever. I usually make the icing from nigella's chocolate Guinness cake to go on top.

This rhubarb and custard cake is a favourite in our house.

Or this gin & tonic cake which you can turn into a normal lemon drizzle just by leaving out the gin.

This chocolate-nanana-cake is a huge favourite in our house and massively popular with everyone that tries it, even people who don't usually like banana in cakes. I make it all the time.

I use Mary Berry for cupcakes and victoria sponge.

BakingMad.com 's mini chewy chocolate brownies (cut into big slabs for greedy guts)

Nigella for flapjacks and marshmallow krispie cakes.
