Recipe ideas for a Magimix?

I saved up and bought a magimix a few years ago and rarely use it. All it does is sit on our tiny kitchen counter to remind me never to buy a juicer or a bread machine. Can anyone suggestwhat I can cook with it?

It sometimes gets used for potato dauphinoise, grating carrot and thinly slicing cabbage for salads and stir fries. Also, very occasionally for soup. But that's only four things, what else can it do?

If anyone has any ideas I'd be super grateful. We eat vegetarian and quick to prepare food. I don't do cakes and it can't deal with making pastry despite its fancy motor.

Thanks! Smile

use mine loads actually .... making breadcrumbs, chopping up a load of veg for a spag bol, general baking (not just pastry, cream for lemon pies etc), mayonnaise, pesto, guacamole, hummous (and sauces in general)

Is it the food processor? I use mine for hummus, mayonnaise and if you eat fish: a really simple salmon pate: 1 small tin salmon (no skin/bones) with similar amount full fat cream cheese, it's really nice.

I al so have the blender, but I mainly use it for soup. I used to use it for smoothies.

Thanks for the ideas. I use a stick blender for pesto, humus, guacamole, babaganoush as it works fine and so much easier to use and wash. Why oh why did I buy it in the first place?!?!?

It makes making scones super easy - just shove the stuff in (bar the milk), pulse til crumby then pour milk down the hatch. Also for pancake mix. Again, if you eat fish smoked mackerel pate (can't remember recipe) or chocolate chestnut pudding (tinned water chestnut, cream, brandy/rum, dark chocolate). Can use to grate cheese as well I think, with one of the bits that sits at the top.

Stick blenders are great, I haven't had one for over a decade, so maybe that's why I use my magimix more? I have had it for more than 10 years, and although I don't use it daily, I do love it.

Why don't you sell your magimix? It should fetch a reasonable price.
