How to store this cake?

My mums birthday party is Sunday and she asked me to make a cake for it but due to other plans tomorrow, I had to bake it today.

Normally, I would just leave in a cake tin and it would be fine but this cake has fresh raspberries cooked into the sponge, so does that mean that I should really keep them in the fridge until I'm ready to add he filling and topping on Sunday morning?

TIA Smile

Yes, I would. They could start to go mouldy. Or ferment...

Oh god will the cake survive then until Sunday ok in the fridge??? Confused

It will be fine in the fridge and the raspberries should stop it going dry (the curse of cakes kept in the fridge, they go stale fast)

I'd not risk it staying out as the weather has picked up and it's pretty warm now. It would probably be ok but better safe than away minute dash to Tesco for a homemade looking cake on Sunday!!

Thank you - stopped panicking so much now!

I have covered them in baking paper and then wrapped them in cling film so fingers crossed they survive!!

You could freeze it too.
